Our mission is to provide activities for Richmond residents, as well as to maintain Amidon Park and the Richmond beach.

RICHMOND RECREATION

The Richmond Town Beach at Cass Pond

The town beach is located at the end of Pond Woods Road in Richmond. It is open seasonally from approximately Memorial Day through Labor Day. The beach closes at dusk. There is a port-a-potty for your convenience during the summer months. It is a carry-in/carry-out beach. Permits are required. You can see the town clerk to get one. No animals allowed on the property.

The Town Pavilion and Park

Come relax at the Town Pavilion and Park located behind Richmond's library and Fire station. Bring your charcoal and food for grilling. Two grill pits are provided. There is a play structure and swings for children to play on.

Free Swimming Lessons at Camp Takodah

The YMCA's Camp Takodah here in Richmond has been generous enough to offer FREE Red Cross swimming lessons to Richmond residents each summer. Residents five years of age and older are able to participate. Lessons usually start towards the end of July (around the 20th) and go through to the beginning of August (around the 7th). Camp Takodah is located at 55 Fitzwilliam Road in Richmond. Keep your eye out for signs at the entrance of the Camp for exact dates. After the dates are set registration forms are available at the Richmond town office.
