Richmond Community Forum 3 - Vets Hall
When:Richmond Community Forum - Part 3
The Richmond Community Development Association (RDCA) invites all of Richmond residents to participate in a Visioning Session on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 10 am at the Veterans Hall to explore the revitalization of a Richmond Village Store. Through Southwest Region Planning Commission, the Town received a grant to complete a feasibility study for re-establishing a village store on the site formerly occupied by a village store.
The feasibility study is being conducted on behalf of the Town by Catlin + Petrovick Architects of Keene who has conducted hundreds of similar studies for a variety of public and private projects throughout New England. The goal of this process and the final report is to provide the Town with a strategic plan, including a business plan, to again enjoy a full service village store, including fuel, in town.
The purpose of the visioning session is to bring people together to discover the values and vision of the community. In addition, the session will look at the community’s role in the region, how changes in the region are affecting the community, and more. Based on the information gathered at this meeting and along with the information gathered through past surveys, the architects will prepare a report detailing viable business plan for a establishing a new store in the village center.
