Town of Richmond Archives

The Town of Richmond Archives was established in 1976 by the Town’s Bicentennial Commission.  Over the years, a variety of materials have been collected, especially through the efforts of Norma Thibodeau.  Materials include early Town materials primarily from 1820 to the present, including indentures, personal property mortgages, tax assessments, school registers, town reports and warrants.  There are also materials related to community life in Richmond, including copies of the Quaker Meeting Minutes from 1792-1835, information on older buildings and roads in Richmond, as well as a variety of local newsletters and interesting artifacts.  

The Town Archives are housed at an archival storage facility in Keene, NH.  In order to facilitate you request for materials, please review the box list and finding aids below.  In addition, our staff is happy to help you in your research as many of the materials have not been described fully.  Once you have determined which boxes you would like to request, please fill out the box retrieval form and submit it with payment to:
